 nformed by the 1960s notebooks of Yvonne Rainer\, whose work “Trio A” is p
 art of the exhibition as well\, Soraya Lutangu Bonaventure explores differ
 ent possibilities of transmission in her sound performance “2. The word is
  more powerful than the leg.” Incorporating text from former collaboration
 s with Hannah Black and Korakrit Arunanondchai\, the artist negotiates wor
 ding and the structuring of words through methods of quoting and sampling\
 , repeating and rephrasing.\n\nSoraya Lutangu Bonaventure is a composer\, 
 DJ\, and theater maker whose practice unfolds at the intersection of embod
 ied knowledge and critical theory. Guided by a curiosity for how systems o
 f violence interlock with the textures of everyday life\, her work explore
 s the shifting degrees of legibility that shape our gazes\, and the possib
 ility of imagining otherwise. Her works\, performances and DJ sets have be
 en presented at MoMA PS1\, Centre Pompidou\, ICA London and Miami\, Bergha
 in\, Chisenhale Gallery\, MCBA Museum\, Arsenic Theatre\, Tanzhaus Zürich\
 , Gessnerallee\, Friart Kunsthalle\, Horst Festival\, Bossa Nova Civic Clu
