Due to renovation measures, the Lambrecht-Schadeberg Collection is currently not on display and the first floor of the museum is closed. The exhibitions "Museum of Shadows" and "MGKWalls" remain open until June 2.The museum will be again completly closed for renovation work from 3.–29.6.24!

In 2024, the Museum of Contemporary Art Siegen (MGKSiegen) will be equipping itself for the future. The museum’s operation since its opening in 2001, as well as changing technical requirements necessitate some refurbishment. Since February 2024, the lighting and some of the building’s other utilities will be brought up to date.
