Morandi and Siegen

Morandi has had a very special relationship with Siegen, as he was the second recipient of the Rubens Prize awarded by the city of Siegen in 1962. Although reluctant to travel to Siegen, he lateron presented the city with a painting, which can be seen in our exhibition. More insider knowledge will be provided during the curator's tour with Prof. Dr. Christian Spies.
