City Stamp Workshop
For International Women's Day
The STADTSTEMPEL project is a current field of research by studio pari-pari (Lena Schrieb and Marina Kampka). Using modelling clay and ink pads, three-dimensional shapes from the city are captured and reproduced in two dimensions on paper. During the quasi-performative artistic work in (public) space, a dialogue with places and people emerges.
The workshop in Siegen moves between the contexts of museum and city. Participants receive inspiration from the current exhibition and go in search of reproducible motifs in public space, which they capture on paper. In doing so, they sharpen their perception of details and make decisions about composition in the paper space – with us beyond the grid.
