Salon Diagonal: The City as a Shared Space

MGKSiegen and fusion lab are jointly exploring how the city can become a space for encounter and active participation. At the ‘Salon diagonal’ on 21 October at 6 pm, the ‘city as a communal space’ will therefore take centre stage at the fusion lab. At the same time, a work of art from the collection will be temporarily installed in the fusion lab’s premises. In collaboration with students, a workshop will be organised in spring 2027 to explore new ways of engaging with the work and to examine how art can influence perceptions of the city and community life.

The event is taking place as part of the MKGSiegen ON TOUR project – because we’re currently on the move. From 28 September, the museum will be relocating its activities to other venues in the city, in surrounding regions and online. This is because, apart from the studio, the museum building is currently closed due to the new extension.
