The new quartet led by saxophonist Felipe Oliveira de Sousa combines musical virtuosity with groove and enthusiasm. With Achim Weiß (piano), Michael Grossenbacher (bass) and Florian Schnurr (drums), the rhythm section of the Siegen University Big Band, the result is a multifaceted sound: straight-ahead jazz, hard bop, bossa nova, ballads and Latin.
