25 Years, 25 Artworks
The MGKSiegen Collection
The Museum für Gegenwartskunst Siegen (MGKSiegen) opened its doors to the public for the first time on 6 May 2001. To mark this anniversary, the MGKSiegen is presenting the exhibition ‘25 Years, 25 Works’, which traces the development of the museum through 25 selected works. The works are representative of the significance and artistic focus of the two collections – the Lambrecht-Schadeberg Collection, which includes the Rubens Prize winners of the City of Siegen, and the Contemporary Art Collection. They reflect the exhibition history, reveal regional connections and illustrate the great private and public commitment that has been behind the international art museum for 25 years.
