Take a stand. Artistic positions from the MGKSiegen
Dialogical tour of the exhibition
As part of this year's International Weeks Against Racism and Discrimination, the Museum für Gegenwartskunst Siegen invites you to a dialogue-based exhibition tour. Under the motto ‘Taking a Stand – Artistic Positions at the MGKSiegen, works from the collection will be viewed, examined and discussed together. The tour combines historical and contemporary perspectives and shows how art makes social structures visible, questions power relations and addresses individual and collective responsibility.
The focus is on artistic positions by Fritz Winter, Cy Twombly, Sung Tieu, Hans Haacke, August Sander and Anna Boghiguian. The dialogue-based approach opens up space for multiple perspectives and for discussion about the role of art in the context of racism, discrimination and democratic attitudes.
In cooperation with the Media Library against Racism and Discrimination.
Free of charge. No registration necessary.
