In the Apollo Theatre Siegen
From November to December, two seminal works of performance art will be screened as video projections at the Apollo Theatre: Yvonne Rainer’s Trio A (1966/1978) (10:30 mins), a seminal work of postmodern dance featuring a movement language rooted in everyday life, and Bruce Nauman’s Slow Angle Walk (Beckett Walk) (1968) (60 mins), a minimalist performance exploring the relationship between physical movement and gravity.
In a 30-minute discussion, Thomas Thiel (Director, MGKSiegen) and Markus Steinwender (Artistic Director, Apollo Theater Siegen) will talk about the collaboration, the video installations, and the interplay between dance, theatre and the museum.
